Luxury, Functionality, and a Hill Country Point of View

We believe a home should feel refined, livable, and lasting. Riverbend builds luxury custom homes for homeowners in Austin, Dripping Springs, and surrounding Texas Hill Country communities, with attention to craftsmanship, communication, and spaces that support the way people actually want to live. The finish standard comes from Vanessa's background in luxury hospitality construction, where quality faced paying guests daily.

A Residential Builder That Understands Experience and Execution

A luxury home is not just a construction project. It is a personal investment in the way a family lives, gathers, hosts, and grows over time. Riverbend brings practical project leadership together with a deeper understanding of comfort, function, atmosphere, and finish.

  • Design, budget, and site realities coordinated from the first conversation.
  • Selections curated and documented, never left to chance or memory.
  • Trade work sequenced and supervised to a hospitality standard of finish.
  • One accountable team from the first walkthrough to the final review.

Where the Standard Comes From

Vanessa Harris was involved in all phases of construction across multiple high-end hospitality projects, working closely with general contractors, architects, consultants, and project teams. Her roles spanned planning, construction coordination, finish execution, and the guest-centered quality of the final environment, on properties including the Hilton Orlando Resort, Hotel Galvez Spa, Fiori Spa, Stonedrift Spa at Eagle Ridge, and Trellis Spa at The Houstonian.

That world teaches a particular discipline: the finish is the product. A spa or a flagship resort cannot open with almost-right tile lines or lighting that flattens the room, because paying guests judge it every day.

Bringing that discipline home is the point of Riverbend. The same coordination, the same finish standard, and the same respect for how a space feels to the people in it, applied to the most personal project there is.

What a Luxury Custom Home Involves

In our published planning ranges, new custom construction in the Hill Country typically runs $350 to $650 per square foot at comparable finish levels, and ultra-luxury work with architectural complexity, structural steel, and premium finishes can run $800 per square foot and up.

Building new typically runs 14 to 20 months. Luxury projects reward unhurried selections, and we coordinate them against the construction calendar so decisions never hold up the site, and the site never forces a rushed decision.

Our featured San Marcos project shows the standard applied to a transformation: custom white oak cabinetry around a Wolf cooking suite, Perla Mirage quartz with mitered edges, a 10-foot 7-inch iron pivot entry, and a spa-inspired primary bath, all coordinated by one accountable team.

Livability Is the Real Luxury

The homes we admire most are the ones families actually use: kitchens that host well and work hard, outdoor rooms placed for the breeze and the light, a primary suite that genuinely restores, and materials that age gracefully in Texas sun.

That is why our planning starts with how you live, not with a features list. The right home for a family that hosts thirty people at Thanksgiving is different from the right home for two people and their dogs, at the same budget. The same thinking extends to guest houses, casitas, and whole-home remodels of homes worth keeping.

If that is the kind of home you are planning, we would be glad to talk it through. Most first conversations start with coffee and a tape measure.
